I had the original clock in my '70 2+2 converted to double-a battery power. I'm going on a year and a half with the same battery. I use a battery disconnect when the car is not in use. Since that conversion, I don't concern myself about resetting the clock, AND, most importantly, it keeps great time...

Funny that I miss the shows and the cars'n coffees and other get togethers, but at the same time I find myself driving the E more often these days than pre-virus days. That's why I bought the car.

I know the previous-to-me owner is from Hayward, CA.

.....the best solution is to fit a mechanical guage .......Steve Exactly what I did. I had scary low OP readings, which was strange since the previous owner recently spent $6k on engine work. Those readings were with the electric sender. I installed a mechanical gauge in parallel with the original ...

Well, someone has to resurrect a 4 year old thread, it might as well be me! I was almost giving up looking for the vin until I read this thread. I found it on the upper bell housing attachment flange on the left side (exhaust side)on top / rear of the engine in the dipstick area. This '70 2+2 is new...

You'll have to download a wiring diagram for your car and look at what that wire may be connected to. Marek
