My son has a Dropbox account and he invited me to join so that he could get the extra storage. There was some problem or other, don't know what it was, when I tried to set it up. I contacted Dropbox to ask for help. The reply I got after about two weekssaid that they get so many queries that they on...

Try looking in the parts manual. It shows the part nos. relative to market and engine no. My early UK car had none of the US/Canada emission kit fitted ex factory and the ROM lists the needles as B1BH which tallys with the parts book. I don't think there is any difference between the inlets relative...

The quote from the 2001 Regs.-- "7. The speed capability of all tyres fitted shall be not less than the maximum design speed of the vehicle." "Maximum design speed" must therefore be legally specified for each and every vehicle for this Reg. to be enforceable. Does anyone know what the "maximum desi...

Re: Shock-absorber and spring change-over

Can any one suggest a clever way of removing-refitting the rear springs when changing dampers, or refer me to an earlier post that I might have missed ? Have the kit to make more or less anything but if I can avoid re-inventing the wheel ............ Have a look at http://www.xketype.com/e107_plugi...

Ian Make sure that any info. you get is for the S3. People wrongly assume that all three series are the same, they are not. Do you have the ROM? Is your chassis no. pre or post 1s50064?(there are two different methods). If post do you have access to special tool JD43? Note that the setting links are...

Just wasted an hour of my life watching this. Total tosh. The sad thing is there will have been people watching who now think they can get a complete restoration for an E Type for 6K! Either I'm getting old or telly really is getting worse. Couldn't agree more. That would make a good episode on Rog...

I thought concours meant that the car was in it's original ex-works condition. No time for concours myself so could be mistaken but if not won't you have to remove all the "upgrades" already fitted and replace with original e.g. get rid of the Coopercraft and forget about any more "upgrades"? Can a ...

Thanks folks.
Bought a pair from Hutsons, not the Dunlopillow type though. They only had NOS original style for the passenger side and I didn't want to chance odd looking seats.
Hutsons said that the Dunlopillow ceased something like 10 years ago because of H & S.

Front seat foams

I have had a quote for the restoration of my front seats but I need to supply the foams. Can anyone recommend a supplier they have used in the recent past?

Can anyone describe the internal construction of the front seat backs?

Thanks Peeps Looks like it's going to be 3/16 or 1/4 nuts and bolts depending on the size of the hole when the cup bases are removed. Hopefully the bolt heads will not interfere with the bush housing. I dont like putting bolts in from underneath with nuts on top, I prefer to go down onto my nuts fro...

Radius Arm Cup Base

The radius arm cup bases are originally fastened on with a special type of rivet. My parts manual shows them fastened on with nuts & bolts/set screws, part number BD20958/3 - bolts, BD20959 - nuts. I have not been able to find these fasteners listed in the "usuals" lists. The decoder I have to conve...
