Re: Peter Crespin Comming back to UK
Ha, Makes it easier for me to meet him- way easier from Germany. When we first met, before he left England, I drove on the yard to fetch the 2+2 shell, a bird let some poo drop on my bonnet, I got out of the car, he of course had seen the bird scene and said „Welcome to England“. Now… yes. All the b...

Re: Who knows what this is?
Hey, I think the design polarizes. I had people loving it, and hating it. As with many many kit cars, the problem is build quality and details. Yes and its the seventies, so don‘t expect too much there, but people tend to look with today‘s eyes, they‘re used to the build quality of normal german car...

Re: Who knows what this is?
Hey, I think I can say no. I must first confess I owned one of these for 32 years, so I think I am qualified, kind of. See, there were 2 Probe 15 afaik. One of them is still alive, in Switzerland. The second one was broken up to make molds, for a Kit Car named „Concept Cars Centaur MK1“. You can eas...

Hey,
That new logo looks like an Umbrella company logo - why not let us call it „the umbrella logo“.

S1 2+2 A pillar chrome: installation ?
Hi, Some final things, now that the new front screen was fitted: how do I fit the A pillar chrome ? There are some holes in the A pillar- not corresponding to the chrome parts. So I‘ll drill new ones. Were the chrome parts riveted ? And, how are they secured at their front inner edge- do they go und...

Re: A’66 OTS sells for a huge price at Monterey
Hey, I see news about an upcoming recession, interest rates sunk a bit, and Gold is at all time high again. So maybe there are some people who had obviously lot of cash around and thought, shares not safe, gold too expensive (and maybe they already have a ton or two?), so lets have a look into bluec...

Re: Value of 66 2+2
Hi,
Yes but its a huge difference to not get 50thsd back instead of 200 thsd….
So, if you want a „cheap“ E Type Experience, get a proper 2+2 :-). But make sure it is a real good car, not a US Spec automatic twin carb..

Re: Value of 66 2+2
Hi, I think different. A 2+2 is great value for money. You pay say 60.000 for a good one, and get the like back in say 10 yrs. Job done. Same may apply with an OTS or Coupe. I agree with others that it will mostly not pay back when you do a full resto on them. I did, took 15+ yrs, and I did it all b...

Re: Correct wipers and arms for S1 2+2 ?
Hi all, I found when cleaning them that they are all different. 1 is straight, pin for clip at the end of the arm, chromed steel. 1 has a bend at the end, pin for clip at the end of the arm, chromed steel. Both have many numbers printed inside. One has BR 546431, 610251, 618679, 677173 AUS 138607 GE...
