Re: Bad experience with the Brexit

Brexit has put additional red tape and costs on trade between UK & rest of the EU in addition to initiating other political impediments for the UK (eg Scottish Indepndance). We're a third country now so this additional friction & cost was predictable in the event of us leaving the Single Market and ...

Re: Noisy carbs

Hi there, I'm no expert on tunimg or setting carbs but the usual advice is to check timing etc. before the carbs. That said are you able to get back to your original settings? I'm sure one of the forum experts will be along with a bit of guidance in due course.

Re: Windscreen wiper arm

Thanks for the reply Colin. As you say not so easy to pin from the side. However the splined piece seems to be loose on the wiper spindle, I can turn it easily. Any thoughts on a repair? I'd seen somethi...

Re: Series 3 Body Colour

Thanks Steve, heather is what I first thought and indeed that same colour is behind the drop down panel for the fuses. However, according to the sticker on the B Post my car is March 72, and the passport to Service document says delivery July 72. Also, my understanding was that heather was a Septemb...

Series 3 Body Colour

Hi all, My car is OEW has been since it was imported back from the US in the '90s. However, I'm curious about the original colour, I haven't got a heritage certificate yet which would confirm the colour. In the meantime thought I'd check under the rear seat and floorpans, but I'm not sure if this wo...

New Owner

Hi there all, I'm now an E Type owner  My car is a S3 2+2, RHD conversion originally from the US. It was imported to the UK in the 90s. I've not done many miles in the car yet and I'm just getting to know it. So far so good though and a big plus the wife likes it. Kevin https://i.postimg.cc/...
