The speedo angle drive on my 1970 E type 2 + 2 has an oil leak, does anyone know if it is possible to remove the angle drive to fix, or replace without removing the gearbox.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

I would like to get a water pump service kit for my 1970 E Type Jaguar series 2 + 2.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of one. I live in Australia so reconditioned exchange units from UK is not the preferred option.

Any help would be much appreciated.

On my 1970 E Type 2 +2 I have a 3AW warning light relay for the charging system. I realise from the nature of the system it needs heat to operate but I am not sure how much heat it should produce to the outside case. If anyone has had any experience with this, I would keen to hear about it. Thanks Ian

Thanks guys, My reason for this post is a follow up on a previous post where I asked what oils to use in the engine, gearbox and diff. When I had the input clamped the hubs turned in the opposite direction. Now I no longer have the clamp on the input shaft I can turn ether shaft and the opposite side will rotate in the opposite direction. So it looks like I have a normal diff.

Thanks for the posts.

The car was delivered direct to Australia, the suspension cage is out of the car, the oil has been drained and when I turn one wheel the main drive shaft turns. I am not sure if the diff is original.

I live in Brisbane Australia and am going to give my new pride and joy an oil change etc. If there is anyone who can advise what make and type of oil (engine, gearbox, and Diff) I should be using in this climate it would be very much appreciated
