Stromberg Needles B1E or B1AR
Hello All. I have a late series 2 E Type. I have B1E non adjustable needles in my Stromberg's and its running very rich (plugs are very sooty after a 10 mile run) I've just ordered a pair of B1AR needles, hoping that's going too make a difference. Just wondered what everyone else on Stromberg's were...

Re: Help on registering a US car during Covid
Hi Chris. I went through this procedure last year. I had my application returned 3 times. The main problem was, my car is a California car. When a Jaguar E Type was registered in California,, They put a "J" and "71". J =Jaguar, 71= year of registration, in front of my VIN number, therefore it didn't...

Re: Brake master cylinder reaction valve spring
Hi Paul. I had my M/S cylinders and servo unit refurbished and re sleeved by Past Parts. I also found they had fitted the large spring. The reason I found it was because while I was bleeding the brakes, the brake pedal pumped fine, but when the engine was running and I had vacuum the pedal was solid...

Vacuum retard distributor
Hello All. I have a late series 2 E Type with a vacuum retard distributor, as I've removed all of the emissions, I've been advised to change the distributor to a vacuum advance distributor. I had a chat with Joe Curto in the US regarding this and he recommended I contact Rob Medynsky from British Va...

Re: Late series 2 air filter.
Thank you all for your reply's.
Thanks for the photo Tim. also looks like there's plenty of room under the filter for the brake and clutch pipes.
Tim / Geoff. when you removed the emissions on your car, did you have to make any adjustments / tweaks to your Stromberg's.
Cheers Phil.

Late series 2 air filter.
Hello All. I'm converting my series 2 E Type to RHD and wondered what others who had carried out this conversion had used as an air filter for twin Stromberg's. Being a late series 2 I am unable to use the original air filter as its obstructed by the pedal box. It seems I have 2 options fitting 2 K&...

LHD to RHD conversion query
Hello all. Just started on the conversion of my series 2. I have the bulkhead servo pipe that runs behind the dash. I can see where the 2 ends of the pipe exit the bulkhead. I have to remove the 2 end dash sections for the conversion and wondered if it's is possible to install the pipe then. Or is i...

Re: New Member ..LHD to RHD conversion.
Thanks Simon. Yes, I've seen Chris Vines blog and bookmarked it along with Mike Cassidy's post. Handy to know Hutsons will reshape the pedals. With 3 SU's and a manifold fetching around £4 to £5.OOO. So don't think Ill be joining the SU club just yet. At sometime I'll be looking to change the rear a...

Re: New Member ..LHD to RHD conversion.
Mike. Barrie. Thanks for your reply's. I've checked E Type Data, I found a couple of photo's that are helpful but most are LHD cars. I'm looking for detailed photo's around the bulkhead area. also the routing of the brake/clutch pipes. I've managed to get a genuine steering rack, accelerator pedal a...

New Member ..LHD to RHD conversion.
Hello All. I've recently purchased a series 2 E Type from USA. While waiting for my registration documents and age related reg. number from DVLA ( Could be another month or two due to covid-19) I've decided to convert to RHD now, rather than wait until l take it off the road during the winter months...
