Re: Stainless Exhaust Manifold
I think around 18 months ago I read somewhere that SNG Barratts had changed the black enamel coating on their (original type) manifolds to something much more robust. I hence wondered if anyone can confirm if this is correct, and more interestingly if anyone has any experience of how they perform wi...

Clutch Thrust Bearing Premature Failure ?
I have read a couple of reports recently describing how new clutch thrust bearings have failed very soon after an engine rebuild. There is a description of such an event in this months E Type Club Magazine. I have had a previous bad experience with a BMC B series engine about 10 years ago when a poo...

I have no relationship with Millers but remember talking to them a couple of years ago about their Classic Sport Semi Synthetic 20/50 and am pretty sure that they told m...

Re: Undoing Two Cylinder Head Bolts/Nuts ?
Many thanks to all for the useful information. I am installing the conduit on a 1963 3.8 litre OTS. I plan to just undo the two bolts, place the brackets underneath and then re torque them to 58 lb.f.ft (circa 78 Nm) which is the value shown in my Haynes manual.... I'll also check that the other bol...

Undoing Two Cylinder Head Bolts/Nuts ?
I have recently fitted the red conduit (part number C2351) to correctly channel the HT leads to the spark plugs on top of the cylinder head. I now need to attach the conduit to the cylinder head which will mean undoing two cylinder head nuts and am wondering what the best way to do this might be ? C...
