Erratic oil pressure gauge
The engine in my '69 FHC was completely rebuilt 6000 miles ago and I use 20W/50W Castrol oil, recently changed. The oil pressure gauge reads 30-40 psi at start up, 50-60 psi at 2500 rpms until reaching normal temp, then drops to 20-30 psi. At normal temps under 2000 rpms the gauge shows 20-30 psi bu...

Re: Ignition light Issue
Darren,
The ignition light on my '69 FHC has glimmered from time to time. But recently it began glowing steadily. Can you provide the part number for the 3AW from SNG? And did that solve your problem? Thanks!

Fuel dumping
My '69 FHC just began flooding when attempting to start. Fuel is dumping through the front carb into the air cleaner cannister and running out the bottom. The fuel pump can be heard clicking away until the ignition is turned off. Seems a rebuild of both carbs is necessary but has anyone else had thi...

Brake reservoir levels
I have had a fully restored '69 FHC since May. A couple weeks ago while driving the brake light came on. The front reservoir was a bit low. I topped it off and everything was fine until yesterday when the brake light came on once again. The front reservoir was slightly low again but the rear reservo...

Series 2 horn wiring
I have a very well restored '69 FHC with a complete new wiring harness installed by the previous owner. However, there is only one horn. Can anyone advise the proper color code of wiring that should attach to each horn? Thanks!

Re: Radio panel/instrument panel conflict
Update: The radio panel/surround in my '69 series 2 FHC was fitted so tightly the instrument panel would not open. After removal of the radio panel for correction, I found the left hinge hex bolt from the instrument panel missing. Can anyone provide the size/thread ratio for a replacement? Thanks!! ...

Re: Radio panel/instrument panel conflict
Wow... very prompt response to my request. I had decided trimming the bottom of the surround is what would likely be necessary. Will I have to get behind the radio panel to removed the radio surround or can the surround be removed from the front? If from the front this will be easy... from the back,...

Radio panel/instrument panel conflict
Good morning! This is my first post here and it seems an excellent resource. I recently acquired a beautifully restored '69 FHC. There is very little that needs to done to this car. But it seems the very tight fit of the radio panel/surround obstructs the proper opening of the instrument panel and t...
