Re: "Content not viewable in the region"
I don’t have this VPN issue on other forum sites that I frequent. Why is it only with this site?

Re: RIP Quentin Wilson
As a Motoring journalist he said it as it was, and not this comedic drivel that we have to endure today. I’ll miss his columns in Classic Car magazine.

You can still read all the information and comments but not view the images if you haven’t obtained VPN. It’s not a big issue!

As you progress on restoration I would suggest to use as much of the original parts as possible if they are serviceable. Take plenty of photographs.

I had written correspondence with him many years ago which proved to be very useful. A sad loss to the Classic scene.

I can recommend this event at Castle Combe It’s far more low key than Goodwood or Silverstone.

Radiomobile 1085X
I’ve acquired this Radiomobile 1085X which appears to be in very nice condition but before testing it I am unsure of the wiring especially the green and purple wires. It is a negative earth unit but the question is which is the earth and which is the positive as I don’t want to damage the system. An...

Re: Fuel stabiliser
This is the recommended quantity taken from their fact sheet. USAGE DIRECTIONS: 30ml treats up to 9.5L of fuel. Use STA-BIL only with fresh fuel, and keep petrol tank 95% full to avoid condensation build up in tank during storage. Run Engine for 5 minutes after adding product to treat entire fuel sy...

Steve have made a very valid point regarding the dipstick. It’s easily misread if it not positioned correctly.

Re: Thermostat housing bypass.
Thanks for the advice Andrew. I’ve already purchased the thermostat and gaskets from SNG and after a little bit of gentle persuasion have just got that bleeder moving a little so I’ll just get it all back together and see how it goes. ATB. Paul.

Re: Thermostat housing bypass.
Hi Steve, there was no thermostat at at all. I just came across this item and part number in SC catalogue. Any suggestions? Do I just fit a new thermostat or do I bite the bullet and get one f these new valves?

I noticed that my S2 running cold after a lay up so this morning I decided to replace the suspected thermostat and replenish the antifreeze. When I removed the outer thermostat cover I was surprised to find that there was no thermostat installed?? and the bypass solid pipe was blocked not only with ...
