Re: Scissor lift and IRS support

As a matter of interest does any forum member already have a Strongman Clifton lift? If so can you post photographs of it lifting a FHC and the positions of the lifting points.

Re: OTS screen mirror rod top boss BD20857

It seems to be common in the classic car and motorcycle replacement spare parts arena that the reproduction items are not the same. Surely when the supplier goes out to tender, the exact original spec is what’s s required whether it be to drawings or reverse engineered. It’s not rocket science.

Rear quarter window catch

The near side quarter window catch seems sloppy inso much that when the window is open and it’s fully extended as soon as you speed up the wind closes it. Is there anyway to tighten it up or recommendations to improve it. The opposite side is far stiffer and holds the window open with no issues.

For the moment maybe, until the woke society gets offended.I agree the whole world has gone mad and all the minority groups have so much power to change things. It makes me sick to the core.

Re: condensation in oil pressure gauge

Condensation in the gauges was always a problem in my Morgan and may other owners. The general consensus of other owners was to carefully drill a small hole in the bottom of the gauge casing around 2-3mm which seemed to solve the issue.

Radiator cowl foam seal

There are some pro’s and cons about fitting the foam seal on top of the radiator. What adhesive is used to fix it in place?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Prestone antifreeze

Bluecol 2 year is recommended as it is the traditional Ethylene Glycol type for classic vehicles. I’ve always used it without any issues.

Re: Broken exhaust stud

I totally agree with what Geoff states and make sure you know what you are doing or it could prove costly in the end. Using easy out stud extractors can be fraught with problems as drilling the old stud must be central which is not the easiest with the head in situ.

I use a "nextbase" dash cam. Just plug into cigarette socket and go. Fixes well to screen, and easy to just switch from car to car. Fun when you plug into your home PC and watch your trip!

Hi Malcolm, Any particular Nextbase model as there are a few different types.

Any recommendations on current dash camera products. Simpler the better and preferably transfer from one vehicle to another.
