Re: 1962 Car Radio

The Optional Extras section of Jaguar's J30 Spare Parts Catalogue lists the Smiths Radiomobile HMV 500T radio and several other radios as options for early E-types. I purchased an HMV 500T about 10 years ago for my 1961 E-type from Tadpole Radios (www.TadpoleRadios.co.uk). What a beautifully restor...

1962 Car Radio

Any help with finding the correct make and model for the radio Jaguar would have used in my series 1 3.8, the car has had a full restoration and no radio re fitted, I’m aware you can have these fitted with the modern blue tooth system ect,

Any help would be appreciated,

Craig

Re: rolling road figures

Took my 3.8 on Monday and very happy with the results after a fully rebuilt engine on +40 Mahle pistons, triple Webber’s, tubular manifolds,123 distributor, compression is at 205 on all cylinder so possible 9.0 to 1.

Re: Power graph and spec

Looks good, nice smooth curve. There’s a whole tread somewhere on here with various rolling road graphs. What 123 do you have, and what ignition curve are you using? Just the standard one (already fitted to the car when I bought it) it set on E we tried F but it prefers E and set at 8 deg . Car pul...

Great looking car Craig. Your first E-Type or are you a veteran?
First ever E type, but been considering for a number of years, I have other classic cars and restored a few myself but I can see why people consider these as a special car..
