Early 3.8 - Corrugated Oil Breather Clip

Dear All I'm asking for help again! I'm trying to source the unique clip that holds the corrugated oil breather hose to the oil breather cap on the front of the cylinder head. Somewhere on the forum its described as being available from a guy in Florida, I've tried many times and methods to contact ...

Re: Early Spark Plug Wire - Rubberised Cloth

The cables on my car are rubber - but if you stare at it closely you can see that it has almost a weave pattern to it, like a fine linen. Thats why i called it rubberised cloth, its not cotton braided. I can't see from your photo what the surface finish is like, maybe you could add an enlargement. I...

Early Spark Plug Wire - Rubberised Cloth

Hey - did anyone ever have any success sourcing rubberised cloth covered spark plug / ignition leads? The car I have had wires like this, rubberised cloth black cover, white core with a stranded wire insert.
I've asked some specialist suppliers to no avail.
Would be nice to get it as original?
Cheers!

Original S1 Slim Console Speakers Wanted!

Hello again Did anyone find a solution to replacing the original admittedly hardly hi-fi speakers with something that fitted in the space? I can find plenty but none that are as slim as the originals with a magnet as small - the larger magnets are what foul the console and prevent easy fitting of wh...

Original Weatherhead Fuel Hose

Does anyone know of a supply or have any NOS original nylon fuel hose? The aftermarket bright white hose doesn't look right on the car, nor can it be colour changed, it is what it is! The original hose I believe was marked Weatherhead 3/8, and was a light translucent cream colour. Thanks for your he...

Early 1961 Aluminium Rear Hubs

Hi - I've been corresponding and getting help from a few folks about this so it makes sense just to ask if anyone has, or knows who might have an (1) early rear aluminium hub that they would sell. Fitted only in early 1961 and marked with the number C 15229-4 LM10 on the inside face just below the b...

Restoring / Rechroming Wiper Arms - RIVETS!

Has anyone been as daft as I feel taking my wiper arms apart, a/ because they are the 1961 originals and b/ because they are irreplaceable, to get the zinc pivots rechromed? Problem is where would you source the 1/8" stainless rivets to reassemble them, and then how would you actually do it without ...

Early 1961 E Type - Comptition Department Mods

Does anyone know what Competition Mods 6 & 10 were? I'm referring to Porters' book page 208 - its a list of a selction of 18 of the first 1961 RHD roadsters built, allocated by Lofty England to various Drivers and Celebs. Some of the mods are described in words such as 'Engine mods' or 'Competition ...

Original Fabric Gaskets - Pedal box and Bonnet Catch
