I wouldn't make them for my car because my car has vents in, the 2+2 ones I have as a pattern don't. I was only doing it as a favour in a job lot of heat shields. How much do they cost new? I don't know but at my works rate of over ?30 / hr plus material costs, it's just not worth the effort. Dave ...

Thanks David. By any chance do you have a picture of it in situ?

I will close the aperture with a removable part as I have a spin on/off oil filter fitted.

Stoneguards

Hello all. I would like to make the 2 stoneguards, numbers 23 and 26 on the picture (parts # BD20048 and BD274427) as they are missing on my car. By chance does anybody have the measures/template or blueprint for these two parts? Many thanks in advance. http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i323/stret...

LSD additive mixing.

Hello everybody. My car has a limited slip differential and I have to top up the rear axle after a leak/imput seal repair. I already have the oil (Duckham's EP90). I'd like to know the mixing proportion between the LSD additive sold by Jaguar and the rear axle oil. It seems that a bottle of additive...

As you bought the item on Ebay you should use their feedback system and rating to put some pressure on him. Tell him that without any news from him you would post a negative feedback on his Ebay shop and a comment about this case, it usually works fine. Also contact eBay Buyer Protection: http://pag...

I think the dipstick cannot give an accurate indication as a significant fraction of the oil may remain on top of the engine. Old engine mountings or the engine pulled up by over tightened engine stabilizer may be other potential causes of wrong reading (engine not leveled). One of the most common r...

Dear Robert I chose the Coolcat fan for the following reasons: - No alteration of the picture frame, the Coolcat fan uses the same mounting points - No alteration of the fan cowl - Almost the same current drawing as the original fan, 6.8Amps vs. 6.5Amps for the original fan, therefore no need to upg...

The Growler was the one and only made for a Swiss businessman by a Swiss company (Classic Factory) based in Lausanne. The Lyonheart is an avatar of the Growler made for production by the same company.

Have a look at the funny Top Gear show about the "growler"....
