Every time I drive in the rain (seldom) or wash the car I open the bonnet and use a towel to mop up any water drops I see. That includes the groove you mention. I then use compressed air to blow any remaining water from under the data plate and other areas I can't reach with the towel.

Oh, John Walker. Thanks for the favorable comment. It's no where near a concurs contender, but t hat's on purpose; I put it together to be a driver.

Hello all I'm new to this forum but not to E-type ownership. We bought a Series II 2+2 in 1996 and sold it in 2010; big mistake. I missed it, so I and bought a Series II FHC in 2015 and still have it. The Lolaetype moniker comes from my wife calling the car Lola because "Whatever Lola wants, Lola ge...
