Had your E-Type sprayed Opalescent Maroon in the last decade or two?
My E-Type project, 1964, is supposed to end up looking something like this. The color according to Heritage is supposed to be Opalescent Maroon. My painter, to whom I have given all the codes I could find from that time, some found on this forum, says that it does not help him, he needs newer codes....

Aldridge or other company recommendations
Hi there I'm trying to find pretty complete set for the interior for my 64 OTS. A little more complicated with a 64, where parts are a bit of a mix of 61-63 and later 4.2 cars. Unfortunately the contact I have is not responding with what I need, I've tried now for 6 weeks to get a detailed quote, wi...

Re: Turn signal mechanism jigsaw puzzle
Thanks, now built two defect ones into one functioning one. Quite lucky, not a single part was missing on both, so it was doable

Turn signal mechanism jigsaw puzzle
Mine is on the right, a friend gave me the one on the left. I think I can move the white plastic thing from left to right, and then use it. But when I started taking the one on the left apart, springs etc. jumped out. Does anybody have instructions or a drawing of this, to help me get one working tu...

Wire wheels, an idea. Your view?
On my first E-Type restoration, 63 FHC, I put on new wider chrome wire wheels, simply for the look. On this my second project, 64 OTS, I plan to go to extra lengths to keep original. And I now have 10 old original wire wheels from those 2 cars. I will put new radial tires on for sure. But what do yo...

1964 OTS interior
After restoring my 63 FHC, and doing most of the interior except seats myself, it's about time to at least buy home the materials for the next one, my April 17th 1964 OTS. But Jaguar made some changes in interior. Initially it just looked like a new center console with a lid and black material inste...

Re: Soft top question
Steve, your answer was fine, but I have to do as you suggest, go to that website, check it out, not done yet. My email is mh@pc.dk, not changed. I do check spam, not there either. Pop ups, I don't know, not deliberately... The emails have worked flawlessly until this and my previous post. And I hate...

Soft top question
...or hood or convertible top? On my 64 the old top is in really bad shape, though the scaffolding looks fine. I'm going to need the soft material. I was given a BAS set H407, but reading the material it says it's for 69-71. What's the difference to the correct 64 one, some vendors have only one ver...
