Hi everyone

I contacted SNG NL to get the upgraded ball joint with the intention to get my wishbone machined to accept it. It’s apparently not available from them. They can supply the full upgraded wishbone only.

Any idea if it is available somewhere else?

I finally managed to get the bonnet back on the car. I can now confirm that the front carb does foul the bonnet when closed. just some clearance is missing, probably 7-8mm only
I'll refit the original US spec inlet manifold and modify it to bypass the secondary plenum.

This is an essential upgrade in my view. I have a similar car than yours and I'm switching to a European XJ S1 setup for now. While rebuilding my engine, I'm making provision for an EDIS+mega jolt upgrade.

I intend to upgrade my USA spec 4.2L engine with 2" HS8 SU to replace the original CD175 Stromberg. I'd like to get rid off the secondary throttle housing meant for emission control. Will i be able to reuse my current primary inlet manifold and fit the HS8 to it?

Is there an easy way to identify an e-type manifold from another one (except the angle to the head)?
Found one manifold but can't tell if it is from an Etype or others.
