Thanks Bob, that is exactly what they said might be the cause of the leak, when I popped in there the other day (without the car) They did say it was an engine out job, do you know if this is true?

Hi I have a series 2, 2 plus 2, 4.2 1969. There is a leak from the gearbox, red fluid on the garage floor.
