Re: washer hose
Awesome photos thank you, they are a great help as so many photos are from the reverse angle of the engine. And the car is so good. Thanks again and very much appreciated.

Re: washer hose
Wonderful Simon, thank you, that helps so much. It looks a great car. Any photos of the other side of the bulkhead would be a big help if you have any.
Thanks again

Re: washer hose
Thank you for your response Andrew. This is the diagram I was going off and stuffed it up.. From pics I have found the position for the container is the area marked "three screws" and have seen on RHD cars the hose leading into holes approximately marked "tacho cable grommet", "blank plug" to the le...

washer hose
Hi Would someone please help with a photo or description of the correct bulkhead exit point for the washer bottle hose. I have just noticed I have mine exiting in the wrong place. And only after I have installed the wiper rack and instruments!!! There are several points I have found on the net and X...

Re: Brake fluid warning light wiring
Hi Richard Thanks so much for the response. I intend to connect the four in both ends of a double connector as your image. Your photo has been a great help though I notice that the connections are at the top of the bulkhead near the large grommet. Mine were just accessible below the facia and probab...

Re: Brake fluid warning light wiring
Hi Richard I know it's an older thread but I hope you or another may remember if this connector had 4 wires to it. ie: warning light RG, handbrake, and both RG from each brake fluid bottle. My older photos show 3 but there are 4 wires ending here from above components on the new harness'. All wiring...

Re: under-bonnet/bulkhead pics 1967 S1 2+2
Hi All Re: 1967 series 1 2+2 RHD, or any 4.2 RHD from that era. I know this is an older post but would also like some bulkhead / firewall pics looking from the front of the car, preferably without the engine for harness exit points and brake line runs. Any photos , any original condition would be a ...

Rear harness route
Hi all. I am in the process of a full rewire with wonderful new looms from Autosparks and am not sure with the route for the rear body harnesses to the tail, number plate and reverse lights. I have the wires and connectors to above the fuel tank filler and the opposite side to the fuel pump but i am...

Re: Gearbox EJS 12803
Thanks so much Andrew. I should have checked my parts book. That fibre washer looks about right and I certainly didn't want to find out later.

Gearbox EJS 12803
I've just had my gearbox rebuilt by a recognised expert in Melbourne. I thought I'd refill with oil to protect things till it goes in and it is just running out here. The guy said that this is normal and the gasket will seal things when assembled. I am probably panicking but is this right. regards h...

Upper steering column
I have just replaced the “elastolan” bushes in the upper steering column. All cleaned up and turning nicely now. The old ones were hard and broken. I have read not to put anything to lubricate or a little silicon grease only. What is best? Also I have noticed on re-assembly the inner column can just...

Re: New Member
A quick update. I have decided to make my own pipes in bundy. A close friend has all the tools and bundy does appear as the original. But just to let others know pre bent kits are available from E Type Parts UK. https://www.etypeparts.com/brakes-brake-accessories/bpk1002-e-type-late-42-series-1-brak...

Thanks Geoff
It appears others have had problems with the standard pressure switch. Never knew the Series 3's changed to an electric switch and it's probably worth doing. Thanks again.

Thanks Steve,
Same problem with a car built around that time. I'll let you know how Autosparks reply. They appear to want to help.

Brake light pressure switch position
Hi All, I have contacted Autosparks to make a new wiring harness for my car. (S1 2+2 1E50739) A minor concern is the only harness plans they have are for a harness with the brake pressure switch position on the lower left picture frame but they have kindly offered to help. They acknowledge having re...

Hi All. I am attempting my first post though have been enjoying reading topics for a few years. So much knowledge in this forum and great members who love to help. I am beginning a full restoration of a S1 2+2 after owning it for many years. Disassembled by others and myself a while ago and been in ...
