Re: Series 2 differential ratio
Basically, the lower the number the higher the speed for any given revs. Standard series 2 diff. uk spec was 3.07:1 USA spec had a higher ratio, so more revs needed for same speed. What car do you have, and is it manual or auto? Thanks for the info Malcolm. I drive a 1970 series 2 convertible. chee...

Re: Series 2 differential ratio
Thank you all for your comments.
Perhaps on balance, and living in a fairly hilly area of North Yorkshire, I should stick with a 3.07 diff.
Can anyone recommend where in Yorkshire I might get my diff reconditioned?
Cheers
Phil

Series 2 differential ratio
My query is what is the diff ration needed to obtain minimum engine revs to maximum speed.
I have read somewhere that 2.88:1 is what I need .
Would somebody educate me please?!
Thanks
Phil

Re: Rear light chrome finisher fitting
By the way I fitted the rubber trim to both edges of the bumper.
I found it best to super glue the trim to the bumper finisher thus making it easier to fit the finisher without needing six pairs of hands!

Re: Rear light chrome finisher fitting
Hi Mike, I did as you suggested with full success. Also fitted rubber trim to both sides. I’ve included a couple of photos for others if needed. Thanks again for your advice Mike. Rear light chrome finisher fitting
Hi, while cleaning my series 2 doc I noticed a rear light chrome finisher was loose. I am having real difficulties tightening the bolt which holds it in place (due to limited space to insert a spanner. Does anyone have any experience/suggestions as to how to tighten up this bolt. Also noticed that t...

Series II E type 1970 Dashboard Removal
Hi,
I am converting from Stromberg to triple SU carbs.
I need to change the choke cables and need some advice on how to do this.
Do I need to remove the dashboard top, and if so how do I do that?
Thanks
Phil
