Could also hear a hollow clunk sound from the near side servo when putting brakes. I have fitted all new brake sy...

David
Sorry not to respond earlier.
Many thanks for the suggested CMC rack mount.
In a fit of eagerness I have already purchsed a set of uprated poly mounts from SNG Barratt. Fingers crossed they add some feel back.
Cheers

Petrol Pump

Me again My petrol pump is beginning to play up. Given it looks like it was designed by I K Brunell its hardly surprisng. A fully electronic SU replacement is some ?200+ wheras I know other pumps are a lot cheaper. As I don't give a rats ass about originality for an item you cannot see I want to fit...

Mark Green with envy with your E Types your a lucky man. Trouble is, before spending money on a 5 speed gearbox, I need to get some body work done. In the past she had rear wheelatches done, before I got her, which are starting to bubble up. No doubt a poor job to sell here. The rest of the car isnt...

Exhaust and Noise

Harry thanks for the response..... Yep would be nice to have a V12 that sounded like a V12, OK not a flat crank sound like a Ferrari but still something to sound like she has a few cylinders. My old Maserati, Kyalami 4.9 V8, has a sound to die for sio why noy my V12. I'm about to fit the SNG Barrett...

Thanks for that.

If you look up the AJ6 Engineering site they do two exhaust systems for V12 E Type at ?825 and ?899 which looks like great value.

Bleeding Rear Brakes

Hello OK I'm off ill and bored but tis does give me the chance to catch up on lots of research. Does anyone know who supplies the remote bleeding kit for the inboard rear brakes. I have seen them mentioned in several articles where the bleed niples are relocated, to the rear subframe where you can g...

Exhaust and Noise

Hello Does any one out there know of a way of making my V12 sound like a V12. I got all excited when looking at the AJ6 Engineering exhausts when I saw that they had a pipe for removing the central boxes but on enquiry i'm told they only do this for saloons and XJS's...pity. I don't want to spend an...

Mark Fotgot to address your comment on a 5 speed gearbox. Having now spent a few thousand getting new cluch & flywheel balanced, propshaft rebuilt and balanced and the gearbox rebuilt its probably too late. A new 5 speed gearbox with adapted propshaft and bellhousing is going to be ?3, 4 or ?5,000 I...

Mark The Su's is a tricky one. My Stromgbergs needed rebuilding which I was quoted ?160 a piece so decided on the SU conversion. Does the car run any better etc. not sure as the comparison with tired Strombergs might be missleeding. Notwithstanding this the SU's seem more linear in delivery and with...
