Re: Mangoletsi 3.8 RHD throttle linkage conversion kit
I’m guessing that given the description of it being ‘short travel’ it is less travel than the original. Mangoletsi seems for good reasons to have a lot of fans here, nonetheless I am no fan of a digital throttle, with little travel from 0 to 1, like in my 2+2… So is the travel ok for you in your con...

Mangoletsi 3.8 RHD throttle linkage conversion kit
Hallo,
SNG offers a short travel Mangoletsi kit for 3.8 RHD etypes.
A long travel RHD kit is unfortunately not on offer.
Can anyone please share his experience with the kit?
Is the travel as short as with the original setup?
thank you

Re: yet another Newbie
Welcome to the best place for all things E-Type! Your car history is impressive. It would be great to see some pics of the 3.8 and the 2+2. How much of a project is the 3.8 - total restoration? Nope, will content myself with getting hopefully a reasonably nice daily driver, not fully original and n...

yet another Newbie
Hi all I am Sepp, live near Munich in Bavaria. After years of stealth reading, I finally registered here. My project car is a 3.8 FHC RHD, my daily driver is a S1 2+2, LHD. Infected by this virus while a student back in the eighties, I restored/drove BMW 2002, targa and convertible, ran a 911 2.7 ta...

Re: 3.8 carbs - which options do I have?
What I am slightly puzzled about is your statement that you cannot use the 4.2 E type manifold on a 3.8 litre engine. Assuming that this 3.8 is a straight port head, my own view is that the manifold should fit, although it may be necessary to blank off any redundant water passage holes . Perhaps oth...

3.8 carbs - which options do I have?
Dear community I am Sepp, live near Munich in Bavaria and I try to bring a 3.8 FHC back on the road with all the ups and downs. An original nicely refurbed 3.8 engine replaced a broken and not to spec 4.2. Obviously, the 4.2 manifolds won‘t fit and I am in need of an inlet solution. I am open to any...
