im selling my s3 v12 for nearly 10k less than that - it really would have to be concours for that sort of money, and like the other guys said there's a lot of decent examples out there for a lot less money.

mine does the same, the double pump on the brake pedal is a common quirk of the v12's - ithink it related to a minor leak somewhere near the top of the brake pedal, get your head in the footwell and look for white gunk where the pedal meets the cylinder as a tell tale sign. however i dont mind it, y...

as regards your brakes mine do exactly the same, first pump is soft then second pump is solid and stops perfectly, my master cylinder has a slight leak, seen by white sludge at the top of the brake pedal under the dashboard. my mechanic says it 'might' need replacing at some point but not an immedia...

when i imported my series 2 i was quite lucky in that two pieces of paperwork in the car had two different names on them, i was able to trace the car back as far as 1984, but no earlier. the DMV of each state, is very much a closed door, you could write to them and try though, however they will obvi...

S3 Removable steering wheel conversion

Just wanted to see if anyone had done this and whether it is straightforward or not. spoke to the guy selling them on ebay who says it will only fit on the s1-2 wheel or the 6 stud mota-lita aftermarket wheel. not a problem as have one of those already. I guess i just wanted to make sure that the st...

thought i should post a quick update, car is currently at the garage so cannot do any work on it yet, have been told that the loom plug on the passenger side is notorious for causing light problems, so when i get it back, will give it a wiggle and go from there :)

Hi Doberman,

If you're anywhere near the chalfonts, i'd recommend having a chat with Tom Barclay, he is an etype specialist and his garage is in denham, near the airstrip.

My Series 3 is there currently with the heads being taken off for a loose valve seat. he may be able to offer some advice.....

Hi Mike, please ignore my rambling about temp gauges, i think all the smiths gauges have a degree of difference over where the needle sits. and after fully reading your question again, i agree it must be carb related, however the rebuild kits are not cheap especially when u have 4 to do :) - if u ca...

I'd agree with what Peter says, my fans cut in around M on normal and stay at R on the move with new dials, senders.

two things i would check and apologies if said already: 1. make sure you dont have an aftermarket fuel cap with no vent hole, this would cause fuel starvation once the pressure builds up as the tank needs to be vented 2. make sure both sides of your fuel pump are working, perhaps one side is being l...

forgot to say everything is fine on the passenger side, perhaps the previous unit being blown should be a telling indication to something?
