Late S2 Ballast Resistor
Hello I wondered what your thoughts was on the Ballast Resistor fitted to later S2's. I removed mine years ago. I have just had the engine rebuilt and I am in the process of connecting everything back up. I have just noticed that I still have the White Blue wire connected from the starter solenoid t...

LHD to RHD Conversion - Anyone here done it?
I have replaced LHD power rack with a RHD manual rack and moved over all the steering components. The lower column is now to short on the RH side and the UJ is fouling the bulkhead. Its 3 inches short of the upper column. Im tempted to extend the lower column by pulling it apart and breaking the nyl...

Hey Folks Thankyou so much for all your advice, I cannot tell you how helpful it was. I removed the cylinder head and eventually got the timing cover off, even with the head off and all bolts removed it still needed some effort to finally get it off. On inspection I found what I was expecting, worn ...

Thankyou Guys, you have all really helped me. The reason that I was so keen to get in the timing chain area was that the noise was directly linked to the RPM, is had that scraping essence to it. My first thought was always the water pump, I was convinced it was going to be that or possibly alternato...

Timing Chain Tensioner - nightmare
I have a US spec late 69 2+2 E type I have rattle, noisy shitty sound from the front of the engine. I disconnected , water pump, alternator etc and noise remained. My thoughts was to check the timing chain and tensioner. I seriously underestimated how difficult it is to get to this. I have done this...

E type headrests
What is required to fit headrests in a seat that does not have them, I have a set of headrests here and the bezel, is there a bracket inside the regular seat to accept the headrest under the leather?

Hi David, i'm also in the process of importing a 2+2 series 2 - 69 and it's on the boat from calif as i write (somewhere near Mexico). Has yours arrived yet? wondered how you got on with the BTI form and HMRC - for reduced import duty? Had one other question, why so keen to get it converted to RHD?...

Be realistic and deal with a few things, not everything, or you'll spread yourself too thin perhaps. That's good advice David, if you want to enjoy the car with your family, then try and get it on the road before the kids get to grown-up to fit. (i know this from experience!) i live quite local to ...

New member with recently imported 2+2 needs advice
Hello Everyone My name is David, In the past I have build an AC Cobra kit car and decided to progress to a restoration project, even after finishing the cobra it still takes a few quid to keep it in tip top shape and to do the usual mods that owners like to do every winter. I have been looking for a...
