[quote="Heuer"]Simon "E-Type Fabs are making their own 5 speed box and it looks good but none of been delivered yet" If you speak to Harry at E-type UK, he is about to have the above gearbox fitted in his demonstrator. I took the time to take a look at the gearbox at the XK60 event, and was impresse...

OIL PRESSURE PROBLEMS
Has anyone experienced a problem with low oil pressure on a 3.8 when sitting a tickover.
Prior to dismantling the engine and spending a fortune it may be something I have missed.
When driving its fine with good readings.
I personally feel it may be the oil pump itself !!!!!

The trouble with the Spax shocks is that the are bright yellow which really is not in keeping with a period 60's car. The adjustment is far better than the konis although I have always found them to be on the stiff side, I remember back in youth days uprating the springs and shocks on my first car. ...

Koni shocks
Just another point I forgot to mention, if you are buying adjustable shocks make sure you dont have to take them of the car to adjust them.
I think Konis need to be removed from the car and adjusted by compressing and turning the shock shaft.

Adjusting shocks
Hi Harry, Trial and error is the best method, If you intend just using the car for road use you may be better just using a standard non adjustable koni shock. These shocks are already set for the best alround ride and performance. An adjustable shock is more suited to a track day / competition car. ...

Hard Tops Values
I have been looking for a hard top for a series 1 roadster and have no idea on how much I should be paying. The values seem to be from ?500 -?1800.
Also it is apparantly extremley hard to find parts for them if any bits are missing (IS THIS TRUE !!!!).
Great to see a dedicated e-type forum.
