Put it wherever you like, but make all four the same. Put the car on the ground, and check the ride height. Raise the car, adjust, and re-check. It is ALWAYS an iterative process, and you really can't adjust them with the weight of the car on them.

"Preload" is meaningless. You adjust for correct ride height. That is what the adjustment is there for.

Personally, I believe that unless you're a really poor driver, vented rotors are a waste of money. I've never seen an upgrade that puts vented rotors on the rear, and the rears will ALWAYS fail first if you over-use the brakes on an E-type.
