Re: Fog / speed lights
Thanks Mike and David ! I wanted to fit something discrete inside of the mouth but I guess you are right and the reduction of flow will be detrimental…. And David convinced me with that picture of phoebe yieling “my eyes…!” Hahahahaa.. the headlights are pretty bad though. They don’t light the road ...

Fog / speed lights
Hello forum.! Any experience installing a set of fog lights inside the mouth of a series 1? I just finished restoring my hood and I was wondering if it’s a good time to think about a couple of speed lights before I put it back on the car. Has anybody installed them and any advice what type and any c...

Headlight Sugar Scoops correct color?
Hello forum, I need help with the correct color code or reference to paint the headlight sugar scoops. I’ve heard that perhaps the Rustoleum Hammered in silver could be a good choice for finish but perhaps a bit lighter than the original ?
Thanks for your advice and comments.!!

Rev Counter goes silent
Hello forum, my rev counter stops working after a few minutes of starting the car. Is the rev counter on these VM cars electric could it be a wire or fuse problem or is it completely analog? Any ideas what could be the problem?
Thanks !

Re: Weber conversion water temp sender
Thank you very much.! I think I got it. I just re threaded the small hole and the original sender fit right in. I think I’ll keep the original and just make a bronze cap for the larger hole. It looks much cleaner this way and I don’t mess with the cables. First picture are the webers and the second ...

Weber conversion water temp sender
Hello forum, I’m in the process of installing my Webers, but the original water temperature sender won’t fit in the warneford adaptor. Do I need to source a different sender? I think I’ll need to work on the electric harness as well as it won’t reach the new position. Any comments, advise? Other tha...

Re: Marchal Amplilux headlights
Thank you David, they will not fit. I’ll keep looking for an original set of Lucas 7” and leave the Marshals for an early 911.
Thank you very much, you saved me a headache,

Re: Marchal Amplilux headlights
Thank you very much David, I’ll measure them as you mention. I’m not absolutely sure about installing the Marshals as they are flat on the front instead of curved as the original headlights are not sure how that is going to look on the car. I have not been able to find a picture of how these Amplilu...

Re: Help with BRG Color match
Thank you very much Ash, I haven’t found a BRG e type near. I have a good friend that owns a BRG lynx D type that a has a lighter shade of what I think was the later S1 cars. There is an MG that has a darker shade that looks very nice and I might use it to match it.
Thanks..!

Hello Forum, I just finished all mechanical work on my roadster and now I need to start thinking about paint. The interior is very nice and all original so I have decided to keep it. First engine start in many years, which oil to use?

Engine turns freely and we’ve cleaned and worked on carbs, fuel tank, lines and a brine head gaskets. Some folks have recommended using a thinner oil like a...
