Re: Sports exhaust

Unfortunately I can't go to that this weekend, although I did go to the brdc at Silverstone 2 weekends ago with the hope of speaking to someone, the reality though, is that even though there were loads of e types there, most were unoccupied, the owners somewhere on the circuit, and even if they were...

Sports exhaust

Hi All My car is currently fitted with standard manifolds but has the 2 inch straight through sports exhaust, whilst it does sound incredible and makes a fantastic growl when you accelerate it is a tad tiring after anything longer than 20 mins, a friend of mine has the 1 3/4 standard baffled system ...

Re: Speedo repair and calibration

If you speak to Andy Rayner from Hutsons Motor company (01274669052) he will recommend a company that he uses, I had my speedo recalibrated this year by them but I can't remember the contact details,

Re: cooling fan

I have the fossway performance fan and their otter switch, very pleased with it, looks good and keeps the car cool, it does need a relay though

Re: Rear hub temperature

I need to jack up the back and try the wheels again, the whole assembly was tight I thought, I had the diff rebuilt by Alan Slawson which was hard to turn by hand and I felt the oil seals in the hubs were dragging on the bearings, now I have done 50 miles I will check again and see how it is

Rear hub temperature

Hi all I have just finished rebuilding my rear suspension and upgrading the brakes to zeus 4 pot calipers, after deliberation and reading many posts on this forum I decided to set the rear hubs in slight preload, I aimed for zero to 2 thou of preload, after 25 miles of driving the hubs are fairly wa...

Re: Rear suframe bolts

Yes that's correct and no I can't see the reason for the thin profile head there are no clearance issues, maybe who ever built it at jaguar picked the wrong bolts off the rack, who knows, but it was definitely fitted in the roll bar to drop link bush on my car.

Re: Rear suframe bolts

Re: Clutch master cylinder

I would look at removing the pedal box, its way easier on the bench, especially as the rod length will need setting

Re: Clutch master cylinder

I have just fitted a willwood master cylinder, I cut the fork off the old one, drilled it clearance to match the willwood rod ( think it was 5/16 unf) then filed 2 flats on a nut so it would fit into the fork to act as a locking nut against the nut already on the wilwood rod. I think I had to shorte...
