Re: E-type Tinder

Thanks Richard. I'm trying to figure out a day off to take her up to see Angus Moss. She overheated in traffic again today and spat out all her Evian... Might have to try Perrier. I wonder if the fans aren't kicking in. Before I set back off I tried shorting the fan to run, seemed only the left fan ...

E-type Tinder

What would she be like, will she behave, does she look like her pictures, is there going to be a spark, is she going all the way, is she going to be high maintenance? Truthfully, she looks better in the photos of course, it was a tense first date, but day 2 is already looking better. The drive from ...

Electrical gremlins

Hi Guys,

Just picked up the beast today, driving it back.. all going well, then all the gauges died. Seemed to come back to life when I flipped the wiper switch...go figure (to quote an American)

Any obvious tips before I start following every wire and pulling off switches?

TY

Re: FrenchItalian Trip GB Stickers

I know this is an old thread, I'm doing some research ahead of Le Mans..

Just wondered, do you think this would cover the GB sticker issue.....

Dad used to have one.

Passed away. Damn inconsiderate all round really.

I'll have to get my abacus out and see if I can find a way to justify a further £11.00 a day 5 days a week...

Would be nice to meet a fellow London E-Type.

Steve,

I actually love you.

:yellow:

Now, if you can find me a way around congestion charge I might get down on one knee.

Now there's an incentive

Hi Martin, Thanks. It's good to know I'm not the only risk taker 😁 I had hatched a crackpot scheme for using the car for my commute to Liverpool Street...I had even managed to balance the books on the costs using man maths... Dashed by the ULEZ tho 😭 It would have been ridiculously fun. Luckily I li...

Recommended Mechanics London

Hi all, Any recommendations for honest, experienced, fairly priced mechanics / E-Type specialists in centralish London? Having just bought an E, I'd like someone solid to have a look through her and then servicing going forward. I've had a Google obviously but I'd rather rely on good experiences of ...

Re: New owner Greetings & Basic Questions S3 2+2 '72

Excellent advice, thank you both. I bought the car as a tourer, it's going to be driven plenty, I'll have plenty of opportunities to get to know the hairy details before Le Mans. It's only covered about 500 miles since an engine out refresh of rubber bits and ball joints etc. A massive stack of hist...

Oh, I did far better than that.... Auction!

My wife works in risk management... I on the other hand....

I agree and I'm not sure it's wise to buy any car like that, let alone a classic.. however, it's how I've bought most of my cars.

New owner Greetings & Basic Questions S3 2+2 '72

Howdy good folks :yellow: I've recently found myself to be the owner of a beautiful green machine. Honestly, I was looking for a Mercedes Pagoda (cue hurling of rotten veg) but came across this nice looking cat and didn't manage to step far enough away from the keyboard to stop myself buying it. So,...
