Wish I’d read this 2 weeks ago! I found out the hard way that the ‘F’ position kills the headlights.

Re: FRONT UPPER BALL JOINT KITS
Guys, we don't do this any more - we had a lot of problems when we *think* the supplier changed the material of the nylon insert. This caused them to squeak. I would dearly love a solution but until we can be confident, I have had to suspend this service.

Talk to ASM Classics. Expect to pay around £5k and that should include a new loom.

I think Christopher hit on it regarding the fuel. If it runs ok when you inject EasyStart, then that has to be a clue. Regarding needles, I assume it ran ok before. As people have said, don't touch anything yet (unless you can see an obvious fault). Empty the carbs and rig up a fuel tank with fresh ...

Kiley Clinton are excellent. However, if they find a worn part they have to replace it and this could be expensive. Best off getting it checked out by them first for a quote (this will cost). We always replace the racks unless specifically asked to rebuild the original.

Thanks for your kind words Chris. From my perspective, you were an ideal customer. Looked at some photos on Monday, looked at the car on Tuesday and trailered it away on Wednesday. An absolute pleasure to work with you and I look forward to following the project.

Radek, talk to BAS. We have fitted theirs. The top is a thin piece of plastic trimmed in vinyl. These can be tricky to fit as the shape is slightly out. We tend to trim vinyl directly onto the top of the hatch.
Their kit also comes with the small piece.

Ethanol
Just had this from a friend who asked Esso if their Super unleaded contained ethanol.... “There is currently no requirement for renewable fuel (such as ethanol) to be present in super unleaded petrol. Esso super unleaded petrol (branded Esso Energy Synergy Supreme+ 99) is ethanol free (except, due t...

Re: £300K Series 3 anyone ?
Always a fascinating debate. We tend to use our cars for long distance journeys and I left my current car (S1 4.2 FHC) LHD as we tend to drive more on the Continent. For me, they shouldn't rattle, get hot, be noisy inside and everything should work (they did when they were new). A standard E Type is...
