Re: Clutch master cylinder Clovis pin removal

I did it on my 63 car, the clevis came out with pedal box in place.Instead of using a split pin I used an R clip much easier.

Re: Overheating coil?

Sorry to have confused things with my problem but its now fixed. It turns out it was the regulator box.I found this on the 123 web site. It looks like my engine misfires after a few kilometers driving what can i do. In some cases a very unstable boardnet voltage can cause misfire. The 123 ignition is...

I used silicon resistor leads as recommended by 123 and the original lucas DLB105 gave no problems for 9 years.

Re: Overheating coil?

I think its ignition based, on the 123 the cap and rotor are bosch items and used genuine parts.I think it could be the dizzy itself but dont know how to test it and havent got a spare. :scratchheadyellow:

Re: hesitation at 1500 to 2250

Hi, its serviced every year, 123 distributor only needs cap and rotor arm replacing every 40000 km. Carbs rebuilt in the last 15000 miles, tried using choke to see if it made difference to hesitation no difference.

I have replaced plugs NGK BP5ES dizzy cap & rotor arm both of which were black and pitted, leads also replaced. 123 distributor has been fitted for over nin...

It looks to me that they are plating the gold rather than solid. The growlers are strung up for plating in jaguars blurb.
