#1 Hello from Sweden!

Post by swetype » Sun Nov 27, 2022 3:04 pm

Hello everyone,
I've been a member for quite sometime but never posted anything, but after seeing myself on the YouTube-clip about Stoneleigh Spares Day I thought that the time has come!

I am on the finishing straight of a 22 year resto of my S1 4.2 FHC and this forum and its members (you know who you are!) have been instrumental in bringing the project to where it is today.

Marcus, you are a combination of a very early member and a late developer. Well at least as far as the time it has taken you to post your first post!
Please put up some more photos and tell us a lot more about the project. Did you have to do much body repairing? Where did you find the car and was it complete or have you had to find lots of bits at Stoneleigh, Beaulieu etc.? Will there be any difficulty registering for going on the road?

Good luck with finishing it, how about finding an excuse to drive over to Britain.

Geoff & Steve,
Got the car from Paul Webb in Essex who at the time was importing E-types from California. Don't know much about the history of the car only that it had been off the road since 1980 and when taking it apart I found parking tickets from the Los Angeles area.

In this day and age, when every man and his dog has an Instagram-account the E-type has one as well, please follow https://www.instagram.com/etypefhc66/

Cheers
Marcus
