#1 Calling Canada

Post by Sunderlandlad73 » Fri May 24, 2024 1:22 pm

Hi Everyone, I'm a new member, and I'm after a little help in seeking out the history of my project car. I've brought a Series 1 4.2 FHC all the way back to England from Ontario, Canada, as I was unable to find anything decent here in the UK.
The car was originally sold in 1965 from the distributor, Jaguar of Eastern Canada, in Montreal. Sadly, there is no record of who the dealer, or customer was.
I bought it from the Singhal family in Ontario, who had earlier bought it from Mr Dean Scott, of St Thomas, Ontario.
I've found that Mr Scott has posted on this site back in the early 2000s, and he was clearly very knowledgeable regarding XJs, however I haven't seen any posts from him regarding his XKE.
I've a few invoices up to 2011, after which the paperwork stops.
I've added a photo of the car when I believe Mr Scott acquired it, one when I bought it, and one that shows how far I've progressed.
I believe everyone who has had any involvement with it will be very pleased with how it has been completed.
Are there any friends of Mr Scott's out there who can help shed a little background to the history of his car, work, membership of the Forum?
Best wishes from Yorkshire,
David

David, have you posted this on Jaglovers? It’s US based which might give you better chance of getting through to anyone who can help with info on a Canadian car. Also have you checked the chassis number on xkedata.com? That’s another useful source of information.
