Hi all,
Well I am now an E owner. I picked her up today. 5 hour drive to bordeaux, towing with my trusty peugeot (the 406 coupe is a future classic by the way and with a chipped diesel, fast and economic).
About ten times on the way back I looked in the rear view mirror with a shock and exclamation of 'who the hell is following me so close?'
I have loads of bits, and a car sat outside in need of a lot of work.
So got to make a rotisserie, re chrome a load of gear, buy steel panels...
Also picked up an owl that had been hit by a car. Did you know owls like Star Trek? He has been riveted to the tv for an hour now - either that or he really got hit on the head.
Now an E owner

Well done Bob(?). What model have you got? Pictures?

Congrats and have lots of fun rebuilding her. How about some photos of the car and the owl?
Cheers

Well done and welcome to the Etype fold.
Strangely jealous of you having an owl. I have always loved them.

Hi all,
Thank you for the welcomes. I will sort some photos once I read the sticky 'how to' on the topic. Just struggling with the storing and dismantling. She is outside at the moment and I need to get the engine out, frames off and body tub prepared so that I can get it all inside the house.
The owl recovered, but had a broken wing, so I drove him to Nantes some 100km to the vet school where all the students were very smitten with him. They will release him back to where I found him once he is better. Hope to be there too... Nice thing was that even when he really got his strength back, he did not try to bite, but just would be quite content to sit next to me and watch tv.
Well best get back to it.
