Hiya,
I'm expecting delivery of this 1970 2+2 manual, chassis number P1R43379.
She is due on the 10th of October from sunny California.
I'll update how things are going once I've received her.
I know I've got to sort out the interior and hopefully I don't find too many other major problems.
I've raced bikes most of my life, but gave that up to race cars six years ago, mainly as I don't bounce as well anymore. I don't know how much longer I can afford to carry on racing so I'm looking for a new hobby to wean me off it.
I've always loved the E Type and I'm really looking forward to getting my foot on the ladder. Hopefully I'd like to end up with a 1964 Series 1 Coupe as that's the year I was born.

Hi everyone,
The car has landed, but is currently at Chatham Dockyard having been unloaded from Thamesport.
I've been told I should be able to collect her by about Wednesday, I'm obviously very excited, I'll keep you all posted. :)

I've now had the car home for a couple of weeks and I'm very happy with my findings so far.
Firstly, whilst picking the car up from the docks I was met by a young lad who took me to a couple of very sorry looking E's that needed a lot more love than I have time or money to give, I pointed out that mine was green and he said 'Oh, we have a lovely looking green one up the other end of the warehouse'
Relief is not the word! There she was looking dusty but otherwise very pleasing to the eye.
The brightwork and wheels are all very good and don't need much more than a good polish, the previous owner had sprayed them with WD40 or something similar and they have been nicely protected.
Which brings me to the subject of the previous owner. I recieved the Title for the car and much to my delight, it's one owner from new, a Dr Jesse Craven from Charlotte North Carolina, now according to a Google search, 77 years old.
I'm going to try to contact him to get some background history on the car.
Since getting the car home I've cleaned the carbs and changed the oil and using a remote fuel tank, she fired up intstantly and purred away quite happily with nothing more than a squeek from a dry bearing on one of the auxilliary belt idler wheels.
The interior came in Suede Green, but is in a very sorry state, I am probably going to change this to Biege as I feel this will compliment the BRG much better.
