Hello to all,
I've messed around with Jaguars for years and have owned my present car since 1978. It's kind of been off the road for years but I've always been doing something to it in bursts. Probably had most things apart over the years and had a lot of bodywork done in the mid eighties. I've fallen out of love with it for many long periods but now am devoting time to it trying to get it back on the road. Been having a terrible battle with it lately with hot running problems and misfires.I could write a book on it and have spent disproportionate time on it over the years on it really. I think I might be getting to the bottom of it finally. Hope to putting some write ups on it's progress.

Hot running and misfiring In a little used car?
Drain the old fuel out completely, tank carbs and fuel lines.
Refill with fresh.
Fuel that's more than a few months old looses a lot of volatiles.
I've some fuel that's two years old and even my lawnmower or chainsaw won't run on it.
