Hi I'm new to this great forum. I've loved e types ever since I was a teenager. My first drive was from a college student who lived on the block as me in Brooklyn NY. He first came to my attention when he drove a blue xk150 as he parked it on the street. During the winter he would put a blanket over the engine at night. You know the rest, in the morning he started the Jag and a fire started! Well he repainted his car and the new e type was introduced 1961 I was 16 years old. He bought a silver blue OTS with blue interior. Absolutely gorgeous and I waited every day to ask for a ride. He was a very nice guy and he drove around the neighborhood while I had the biggest grin on my face. I remember that ride as it was my first in an email e type. Forward 37 years and I bought an early1963 coupe (888289) which I drive all year round as long as there is no snow or salt on the ground. After all it does have a heater! I now live in the beautiful Hudson valley region on NY. Great back roads. Thank you for letting me introduce myself to your forum. Cheers

Hi Frank,

Welcome to the forum. Always nice to hear how someone's E-Type obsession began. Mine was seeing a BRG Series 3 OTS at a show back in 1983.

Look forward to the photos.

Neil

Frank, welcome to the forum. It's always good to hear of how people get their interest in E Types and you've certainly had an early introduction. Lucky fellow!
You'll find lots of helpful advice and not a little bit of good humour. Ask questions if you are looking for anything as there are people with the knowledge to help and quite a few your side of the pond to give local information to source parts or help.

Hi Frank, and welcome.

I've only just joined too.

My car is 888007 and was repatriated from Maryland so our cars may well have occupied the same piece of tarmac (asphalt) at some point in time. What a fascinating thought.

Regards
Stuart
