I'm curios about something. I've been building an informal list of 3.8 cars that have the same slab sided radiator as yours. So far I have about 40 serial numbers on the list and haven't been looking very seriously. I wonder if you might have some knowledge regarding its origins? By the way yours is the second French car I've noted with that radiator design.

The radiator is not original to the car.
It was replaced when the car was fully restored from 1987 to 1989 (I still have the original radiator packed and stored).
By this time, the car was in US.
I may have the purchase invoice of the radiator in my records file, if you are interested by any details.

In France we do not have the cult and respect of the British for the cars but the smile of all the French people looking the E Type is very great. They are only interested by the marvelous body.
Don't try to have the same smile with the last model of Ferrari...
The 403 OTS is also a great old car, in an other way but it's a funny car.

You have a gorgeous car, congratulations. As all said, this is a great place to be for all questions and different feelings.
40km north of Paris is almost on the border.
Hope that our roads will cross sometime so we get an opportunity to meet.
The 403 cabrio is not bad either, specially if it is silver grey and that you wear a rain coat and smoke cigar

Daniel, As I mentioned there are a lot of these radiators installed in 3.8 cars (mostly '64's) "back in the day", and I have been trying to track down the source. A piece of history, if you will. An invoice would be most helpful. Thank you, Eric

Fabulous looking car - congratulations and I hope that she is back on the road before too long.

My wife and I are arriving in Cherebourg on Sunday afternoon in our Series 2 FHC and will be heading to Chantilly for a few days after an overnight stay in Honfleur and a visit to Monet's garden. It will be our first visit to your beautiful country in the E type and we are very much looking forward to experiencing first hand what so many of our fellow forum members have written so positively about.
