Dear Forum members,

I am based in NW London (nr Harrow) and having signed up to the Forum well over a year ago, thought it was probably time I said "hello", to co-inside with my project nearing completion.

Angus Moss is currently in the process of undertaking a full restoration of what was a series 2 OTS in Primrose Yellow LHD and which is slowly morphing into an opalescent dark blue RHD model, often referred to in Angus's blog as the sister car of David's (Ernie's).

It has not all been plain sailing, as we discovered from one of the early US owners that the car had a fairly serious crash when it was only circa 10 years old but Angus and his team have carefully gone through the entire car and brought it back to life. Hopefully a completion date of early to mid May '17 will see it back on the road.

I has been fascinating reading many of the discussion topics and I am thoroughly impressed with the level of help offered to the less experienced (of which I sit towards the lower end of the scale). Just about everything I could think of asking to-date, already has a thread with useful comments and guidance.

I have now signed up to the Bicester Scramble (minus the e-type) and am looking forward to seeing some of you there and hopefully being able to put some names/ faces and Jaguars together.

Cheers

Martin

Hi and welcome to the forum. Like you, I'm at the lower end of the technical spectrum, so sometimes feel I can't contribute as much as I'd like. But one day, someone will want to know a peculiar bit of unknown info that I might just have bumped into - who knows! Meantime, I look forward to seeing the E at some stage, although I'm on an alternative E Type day on the Bicester date so won't see you there.

Come on Angus, pull your finger out

ODB? Will all restored E Types now be in this colour, or did Angus over order the paint supply and now recommends this colour to all his customers?

Welcome Martin, lots of friendly and helpful advice on the forum, plus some good humour to help us all along.
See you at Bicester, I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing the cars and know what to plan to do next year.

Good luck with it, I'm sure Angus will look after you.

Thank you all.

One thing I am pretty confident about is that Primrose Yellow, fawn hood and beige interior, was unlikely to ever have been a good choice and certainly not one I contemplated reverting to.
