Good evening,
Firstly many thanks to the team for managing and sharing such an incredible resource. Between this forum and Chucks blog at Monocoque Metalworks I feel I can at least visualise the work that's ahead of me. It will be a while until I can start my restoration but there's probably quite a bit I can lean or share in the meantime. My car is a 1967 Series 1 and is listed here on XKE Data:

There are also some great photos still up on the Beverly Hills Car Club website, although I bought the car after it had been exported to the UK:
https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/196 ... c-1386.htm
Overall it's in very original and unrestored condition (an understatement). It has a replacement head but otherwise it's still in one piece (except the holes!).
I'll post a query about the covered headlights in the Series 1 forum and look forward to contributing when possible.
Best,
Al (Alastair Mulholland-Cox)
