hello, im very new to this foum (about 5 minuets new) and was wondering if anoyone could help me with a part under my v12 E-type. I wil post a picture with the rod/brade that is proving to be quite a problem with my gearbox removal. as its sitiing just under the bellhousing on the 4 gear auto box im finding it very hard to remove the box as no matter what i do i always come in contact with it.
Any helkp would be great and also any good tips of how to make my life easier while revoming the gearbox

That is a cross bracing piece for the chassis and needs to come out - it is a tube with threads at either end and is held at either end by a bolt that is accessed from both footwells in the cabin - where the gearbox tunnel joins the firewall near the floor.
The attached poor pic shows the bolt on the drivers side of a RHD car - there is one on either side.
Undo the bolts on either side of the tunnel and the cross brace tube will drop down allowing the engine and gearbox to come out.
