:D Come come Christopher, this is the start of the season of goodwill to all men [ and women] in fact I am thinking of starting my own forum !
It will be dedicated to the more adult end of the market and as such I think a minimum age for joining of say 75 with the exeption of me of course but I will be moderator. As it will contain items of an adult nature then I think it only fair that all membership registrations must be accompanied by parental [both] approval forms.
What do you think?.

My sentiments exactly Christopher! How many more variants of the same idea are needed. More confusion, more dilution and little value add. Ohh and the only way you can look at that site is by registering either because the owner is on a 'number of members' ego trip or the harvested data goes somewhere else!

But I wish them luck but please allow people to at least view without registering!

OK - I joined to be able to give an informed opinion!

Site is fairly quiet at the moment but is at least taking a different direction from Jag-Lovers and this Forum. Registration is compulsory, you need to provide a VIN or car number and you must promise to upload a picture within one week or you can't join.

Some 40 members at the moment including a few E-Type stalwarts - Philip Porter, David Brown and Paul Spurlock amongst others. I will add a link to the Library.

David thank you for joining and reporting back to this Forum. Membership has doubled since your last post and we are at about 80 members.

I'm not sure what might have gone wrong during your first visit but the site is meant to be as transparent as possible. Normally anyone can see the activity and features on the site without having to register. For a visitor some of the functionality features are disabled by design such as chat, emails, replying to a post etc. This is pretty well the norm for all websites on the Web. I hope this will encourage others to visit the site and register only if they like the idea of this new communication approach between members. TTBOMK it is the first Social Network site of its type[/i][/b]

#8 None E-type owner

Post by Tony » Sat Dec 19, 2009 12:16 am

As a none E-type owner yet I guess I would be excluded. But hey I am not bitter I can still be in the E Type Forum.

Seriously though, would I do that much harm if I was able to make comments or contributions?

Don't think you would be excluded. It looks like a good network with a bit of lateral thinking and a great way of communicating day to day. Nice to see something that adds value to Jaguar owners experience without trying to take anything away from what is already available. Nice site, worth visiting!
