Yet another newbie

Happy New Year everyone,

I've started 2010 by fulfilling a dream and buying a late 73 Coupe with 50k on the clock and looking lovely in Azure Blue.

My previous cars have included a Jensen C-V8, a Mk1 3.4 MOD and most recently a mint 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with 24k miles from new and frankly too clean to use.

I'm new to V12's so will be a regular on the site asking stupid questions, so I will apologise in advance.

I'm based in Oakham, Rutland, so would be delighted to hook up with any members in the area.

I'm not too far from you (South Leicester) but can't help you with V12's i'm afraid as mine's a 1965 4.2 six.

Maybe when the weather is more friendly, we can arrange to meet up?

There's a big meteing on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in Ashby Folville, which is in north east Leicestershire on the village green.

It's become something of a cult event, particularly in the summer where you can see over 1000 cars turn up.

I have yet to do it, but it's on my list of 'must do's' this year, along with the Ace Cafe, Revival, and a couple of breakfast clubs - there's one for pre '73 cars on 7 March, which I think I might do.
