Hello all,
I’m glad to be a member.
I have a 1964 S1 3.8 FHC, very late as it has 4.2 dash and centre console, though 3.8 seats. I actually think it’s a rather nice combination. It’s in the process of a body restoration, starting with a bare metal panel restoration.
I’ve already done the mechanicals, and it does have a few ‘minor’ changes. Toyota Supra 5 speed gearbox (magic on the highways but still uses the standard gear lever so is undetectable in the car), BMW ventilated discs with Volvo 4 pad callipers on the front (again, no modification to the car and a great improvement on track days), alternator rather than generator and electric thermostatically controlled radiator fan (again no changes to car and again essential in Perth summers).
I’m going to have series of questions about the rebuild, starting with tyres, though I’ll do it in a separate post.
Happy to help and pass on my (probably limited) information if it helps.
Charles

Hi and welcome to the forum. There's a bundle of very knowledgeable guys on here (excluding me!) who I'm sure will be a great help to you.
Pics of the car would be great!
