I think I joined the forum a while ago and have gleaned some invaluable nuggets of information from forum posts, so thank you all.

I was about to ask for mechanic recommendations and realised I haven't posted before so here we are.

I'll try and attach a picture of my car. Having looked for one on my PC, I see that I have very few.

The first owner was Dickie Davies (of BBC Grandstand fame) who people of a certain age will remember seeing regualrly on TV every Saturday afternoon and it was registered RD 57. My dad was the 2nd owner (bought from a dealer in South Manchester) when it was re-registered TMC 29L. My dad's wine business went under around 1980/81 and the car was sold. In the late 1990's I saw it advertised by a dealer in Classic and Sportscar and he bought it back.

So it inevitably has a lot of sentimental value for me. I remember my junior school classmates in the mid seventies being wowed by the four exhausts! and distant memories of looking out from the rear over the boot as we made swift progress down the road. I also remember dropping a plastic bag with my football boots in from a bedroom window on to the bonnet....oops.

Now I'll post that question about mechanic recommendations....

Thanks Malcolm. Just ignore the patches of rust on the quarter bumper (it's on the list).

I love the yellow color in cars. I have also in yellow color Ferrari and I always wax it with high-quality car wax which gives it more shine
Is that Giallo Fly? Nice colour, which seemed to be at its most popular in the 1970's (although it looks nice on a 275 GTB also).
