Hi All,
Just introducing myself as a new member of the forum. I have already scanned the posts on the forum and I am amazed at the knowledge base here at the club and the depth of work that is taken on by all the owner restorers. It feels like no task or query does not have an answer within these walls!
My first interest has been motorcycles (and there are still quite a few in the garage) but in recent years have 'dipped my toe' in the world of classic and vintage cars , having owned an Austin 7 and a Morris Cowley Bullnose. They were great cars (for their day) and working on them was fun, but didn't feel too comfortable straying too far from base.... Now for a classic car that can be driven...
I have posted a 'wanted' ad in the Classified section of the forum and am hoping to find my future car from here. An S2 or S3 would be great, a coupe or roadster even better, but don't have deep pockets, so let's see what I can find. Please let me know if you know of the ideal car that might be for sale.
All the best, Phil.

Phil, welcome to the best place for all things E Type. Just a note, we are not part of any club, but effectively a very friendly online club of helpful and very knowledgeable people.
We have a resident professional restorer, Angus Moss who might be able to help source a car:
https://www.mossjaguar.com/index.html
As Steve says, get and look at as many cars as you can, look at some of the online offerings to give you a feel for price, but do have someone who really knows these beautiful cars well to help check out and assess any you think of buying as they can spot the hidden problems a beginner can miss.
Good luck
Geoff

Managed to find a good car in the US from a dry state and am shipping it over now. Currently deciding whether to convert to RHD. Here's a few photos of the car. Regards, Phil.

Phil, click on your user name (top right of screen) then look at your user profile. In there you can edit your signature to include your name, car and other things.
