#1 new owner

Post by wil » Sun Apr 24, 2022 11:30 am

Hello Folks,

I am pleased to have joined the Club, following purchase of E-Type Series 11 2+2 BOT 88J, after a 45 year gap since my first E-Type!

Like all new owners I am interested in more information on my new car, I think original RHD E-Types of this build era are rare survivors.

I look forward to meeting other members and being on the Forum,

best regards,

Wil

Wil, welcome to the best place for all things E Type. When you say club do you mean the E Tye Club?
This forum is independent of them but quite a few in here are also in that Club as well as the JDC and JEC.
No membership fees here and lots of friendly, helpful advice with occasional humour thrown in.

Buy the relevant handbooks (not the Haynes, though it is useful), read through the knowledge section for information and when you feel ready for help ask away. The search function is pretty good and you’ll often find associated topics listed below when you start a topic which may answer your question.

Have fun and if you add your name and car type to the signature area it’ll mean responders and be polite and know which model to talk about.

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome!

I would like to find out more about the build date etc my E type, and how many of this model survive in RHD.

I think it is one of the last S2 2+2 RHD drive to be built.

Any suggestions very welcome,

thanks,

Wil

Hi and welcome.
The relevant details will be on the heritage certificate, which you will need to buy from Jaguar Heritage.
XKEDATA will show how many of your model are around in various conditions (but only if data has been uploaded) and there are several websites where you can look up how many are ‘on the road’.
