Hi to All
Just to introduce myself. I am a new E Type forum member from deepest Devon UK, and have owned a series 1.5 2+2 E Type since 2002. The car was purchased from a friend, complete, but as a non runner, and here I am in 2022 not having driven her single mile, (although she has nearly broken me both financially and physically on more than one occasion) and still a non runner. I wish I had hooked up with you guys a good decade or two ago Anyway just wanted to say Hi, before I start to hassle you all with questions of a more technical nature. The car is now creeping towards completion and here are some photos of my journey. In my defence: it's been all my own work, and I've loved it (on occasions).

Welcome. Quite a bit of progress there, did you recently put the body on the dolly on Youtube? seem to remember watching something similar to one of your photos. This is definitely the right place for all e type things with a wealth of information and experienced folk, keep us posted with progress and I am sure you will always get the answer to any of your questions.

Looking like a very practical (2+2) and enjoyable (Webasto roof) car. And probably the best colour for a 2+2 (my own opinion).
Small point, but at some time you might want to look at the pipe run for your clutch slave cylinder. Bleed nipple should be above the feed line - air bubbles alway rise, they never sink.

welcome to the forum.
great work so far.
I like the colour. Is it gunmetal grey? 2 pack or acrylic?
my series 3 1971 was regency red from factory, then sometime during its life became signal red.
I'm about to start the painting journey , omg.......
Also that dolly . How does it connect at the bulkhead end?
good luck to you.
from down under Perth.. :)

Hi Colin
You are correct in thinking it’s gunmetal grey and it was done in 2pack. The dolly was a home made affair and to be honest served me well. At the front it connects to the reaction plate bolt holes, so was nicely out of the way when working. Hope all goes well with the paint project your end. Very best Mark
