Post by paulj71 » Tue Jul 05, 2022 11:29 pm

Hi folks,

After lots of saving and looking just acquired a 1968 s1.5 2+2. I live on Maui but originally from Ulster (Ireland).

Jag is to be a daily driver and so looking at reliability mainly.

Attached pic with my current daily in the background.

Hi & welcome,
Great looking car, enjoy driving it. Did you buy it on the island, or import it from elsewhere?
Lots of help and advice on the forum if you need it. Can you fit surf boards in it or will they have to be strapped to the roof? 😉

Thanks for the welcome!

I got the car in California and shipped it over. It’s a bit of a novelty as most all the classics on island are American. Mostly comments about James Bond or Austin powers.

Won’t be taking to the beach as anything that goes to the beach regularly rusts out. We have an electric for that.

I’ve an ignition problem at present so the forum is a great resource!
