#1 Hi, I am new here!!!

Bonjour a tous, actually I am English and French however, I worked on the Electrical of Jaguars back in the 1980's and found many of the charging systems were destroying batteries by overcharging and incidentally knocking out lamps. I am now a member of Retromobiles de la Mee here in France. Any way. if you have a car of any sort and it is eating batteries then do check your controller. The culprit was often an off the shelf pattern controller that was basically rubbish. (vehicles a 1950 BSA C11, a 1969 Land rover LWB, and several Yamaha 535 Viragos.)

Hey Roger,
Welcome and sorry that everybody was too busy driving their vehicles to be bothered to message you.
The great weather is sort of coming to an end, but this is Britain and we are used to unpredictability especially with governments! Keep up the posts!

Here is one of our lovelies when it was in France and being modified.

By the way, little tip, it took me for ever to spot this. In the options below, there is a check box for "Notify me when a reply is posted" so easy to miss but saves checking back every day. No idea what the other boxes do!

Mine hasn’t worked for a number of years, not for want of trying to get it sorted, :welcomewave:

Hey, I must be doing great, almost at geek level. I managed to create my own avatar and stuff it in my profile rather than take one of the stock images. Not bad eh?

BTW, for full equality of nations, don't we need a smilies with the Welsh Flag on it! Asking for a friend!
I tried :wales: but it doesn't work
