Hi Steve
I have a feeling it ended up in Australia so might have been re-registered over there. Funny I sold the E Type and bought a DB5 but much preferred the E. Mind you I would have liked money the Aston would have made today. Sold mine for £3k

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the differences between driving the E-Type and DB5 Andrew.AndrewWendon wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 4:16 pmHi Steve

I’ve heard the DB5 is a lot more vintage in driving style but is still quick.

Had a DB5 years ago, sold it to buy our house. Along with the E Type it was a car I had been obsessed with as a kid. Gorgeous to look at and sit in, very disappointing to drive. Ponderous, heavy handling, dead steering, and not particularly quick. Harvey Bailey handling kit made little difference. Several areas of detail design on the car were shockingly bad. I had assumed that was the best the 60s could offer until I got the E Type. The Jag completely outclassed it in steering and handling. Much more comfortable ride too.

Thanks for your insights Jeremy.
I was also a fan of the DB5 as a kid thanks to Corgi, but I’m glad I got the E-Type as they are a nicer drive.
Couldn’t afford a DB5 anyway, I think they are bit of a cliche now, for wannabe Bonds.
